What We Do
Native planting. Wild placemaking. Water saving.
SUNDEW | Design uses location-specific plant communities as the basis of each process to create landscapes that enhance their surrounding ecosystem, flourish without intensive tending, and are adapted to use water efficiently.
Design that works in relationship to the landscapes we're in.Drawing on native Colorado landscapes and knowledge of the ecology of native plant communities, we create a custom plant palette of native and adapted species that match the elevation, aspect, climate, soil, and site conditions of the project site and recommend strategies for the culture and propagation of the restored plant community.
|
Planting for the garden and the surrounding habitat.By planting the dominant species from one or more plant communities and using associated species that naturally occur together, we encourage nature to return to the landscape.
|
Streamlining the way water works for your landscape.Incorporating water-saving systems in irrigation, gray water reuse, rainwater diversion, solar power, low-voltage landscape lighting and other green technologies, while utilizing locally available materials, we aim to be at the forefront of the movement to change the way we impact the landscape and environment.
